A P Ventures Stellar Growth team, getting ready for 2019!

May 6, 2019 – Columbia, MD - A P Ventures (APV) is pleased to announce the addition of two veteran business development professionals to its staff. Mike Hoffpauir and Ken Rice have all joined APV’s Business Development (BD) department in key BD roles. The expansion adds a depth and breadth of invaluable experience—more than 80 years combined—in the Defense and Federal Healthcare sectors. The duo’s distinguished portfolios include decades of active duty military service and program management experience with major Health and Human Services (HHS) programs, allowing APV to respond even more effectively to the evolving needs of clients such as U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Mike Hoffpauir joined the APV team as the Director of Business Development for Department of Defense (DoD). Mike has more than 40 years of experience working with the U.S. Army (27 years active duty and 13 as a contractor) and joint military organizations. He is a subject matter expert in military engineering, military operations planning, military training and the military decision-making process.

As a member of Booz Allen Hamilton for the past 13 years, Mike grew business within the Army market, especially within Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). He led teams of as many as 125 employees executing business across the Army and was Program Manager of a $240-million Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, while simultaneously leading and/or contributing to proposals supporting pursuit of Army opportunities. In his BD role, Mike routinely participated in major industry forums including the Association of the U.S Army meetings in Washington, DC and Huntsville, Alabama and locally at Fort Eustis, and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association meetings at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Mike has a Masters in Military Arts & Sciences and a MA in Geography & Cartography.

Finally, Ken Rice joined APV several months ago as the Director of Capture. With more than 20 years of executive-level experience leading organizations and businesses, Ken is proficient at identifying and cultivating opportunities for strategic corporate growth. He has served as Operations Officer of a 75-person Business Unit with annual revenue of $42M, and has held key positions on five large IDIQ contracts valued at over eight billion dollars.

Ken’s background includes 22 years of active duty Navy experience, offering deep knowledge of and insight into DoD programs, organizations, and culture. With a record of success that includes more than 14 years of experience pursuing Federal government opportunities in the Defense and Healthcare arenas, Ken’s  innovative thought processes, coupled with a wide-range of skills, enable development of targeted winning strategies. Ken has an MPA in Public Administration and a BS in Educational/ Instructional Technology, and is Project Management Professional (PMP)-certified.

Of her organization’s recent expansion, APV President Nandita Gududuri stated, “We are excited to add such a wealth of experience and expertise to our growing APV team! We are fortunate to be able to leverage the established partnerships and relationships that Mike and Ken bring to the company, in order to help us better serve our clients and fulfill our mission to improve the lives of citizens through innovative IT solutions.”
