Shifting the Landscape in 2023 Disruptive Tech Awards: Programs and Change Agents

March 27, 2023 – Columbia, MD – A P Ventures, LLC (APV) is excited to introduce 2023 Disruptive Tech Change Agent Award Winner Jennifer (Jenny) Tucker, Ph.D., National Organic Program, Agricultural Marketing Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Nominated and selected by their peers from across the Federal IT sector, leaders from Industry and Government are working every day to take calculated risks and positively disrupt the Federal market.
APV nominated Dr. Jennifer Tucker, the visionary and key stakeholder behind the Organic Integrity Learning Center (OILC) for the award and congratulate her for this recognition as leading change in "positively disrupting" the Federal IT market. The OILC serves a global learning community with a free, dynamic, interactive, on-demand library of educational/training materials that range from introductory to advanced courses for credit to microlearning experiences and presentations. They benefit organic producers, certifiers, and inspectors in this $63+ billion industry to facilitate and guide their work to comply with NOP standards associated with the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and the USDA organic regulations.
In just five years, the OILC has grown into a robust community of 11,000 registered users across 93 countries, and users report a 93% course satisfaction rate. Course enrollment has doubled to 35 courses launched during the past two years.
Dr. Tucker’s vision and work in developing the OILC has already significantly increased the capacity of USDA-accredited certifiers to oversee and enforce the organic regulations. Use of the OILC is helping to prepare the workforce needed to support continued growth in the organic sector and has sparked increased international cooperation in the oversight of complex supply chains.
APV will join the event to celebrate Dr. Tucker’s award and recognition at the annual Disruptive Tech Summit on April 12, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center.
